I have seen some searches on my blog for the family rules canvas that could be seen in the background of an Easter photo, so I have decided to go ahead and do a post about it. It was a really great activity that nourished my creative side while at the same time allowed me to think about what I feel are important values to share with my children.
I got the idea from The Pleated Poppy. All the instructions can be found by following the link.
What are your family rules?

This is great. Believe it or not, when my sister & I were little, we made a little Rule Book, hide it in our closet, & it was how we agreed to treat each other. Not saying we always stuck to it, but I think it is quit a mature concept for 2 little girls, A for effort :-) This is much prettier & gets the whole family involved, love it. I've wanted to do something similar as a wall border or stencil, with inspirational thoughts subtley around the border of a room, hall, or on an open wall, maybe in tone on tone paint with shimmer or slightly darker. May just do it!
